Understanding nursing and support

Which kind of help fits the person’s actual needs?

01What is the difference between everyday support, personal care and professional nursing?

Everyday support helps with routines, companionship, accompaniment and daily tasks. Personal care supports activities such as washing, dressing and mobility. Professional nursing covers planned clinical tasks such as wound care, medication management or health checks and is normally charged at €40.00 per hour.

02What can personal care help with?

It can provide respectful help with washing and showering, dressing, using the toilet, mobility, getting up and going to bed, and eating and drinking. The exact support depends on the agreed needs and professional requirements.

03Which professional nursing services are planned at VITANIS?

Planned services include health checks, medication management, wound care and dressing changes, injections, catheter or stoma care and post-operative nursing. These tasks are provided only by appropriately qualified staff and within applicable professional and legal requirements.

04Can I request one nursing visit or regular care?

Yes. VITANIS Direkt is intended for a single agreed professional nursing visit. Regular nursing is planned after a needs assessment, with the services, visit schedule and expected costs confirmed in writing.

02

Organising care at home

From the first discussion to clearly planned visits.

01How should I prepare care after a hospital stay?

Where possible, clarify before discharge what support will be needed at home, which written instructions or discharge documents are available and who can be contacted. VITANIS Recovery can be requested for a limited period; the scope, professional nursing allowance and any additional services are agreed in advance.

02What should I prepare for the first conversation?

Useful information includes the person’s location, preferred start, daily routines, tasks where help is needed and any existing written instructions. Do not send diagnoses or health information through the public form; sensitive details can be discussed through an appropriate personal contact.

03What happens between the enquiry and the first visit?

VITANIS first discusses the needs, location and preferences. Suitable services, frequency, responsibilities and expected costs are then planned and confirmed in writing before any binding engagement.

04What happens if support needs change?

The agreed plan is reviewed and adjusted together. Changes in scope and additional paid services are agreed before they are provided; acute symptoms or emergencies require the appropriate medical service or emergency service.

03

Understanding prices and packages

What is included and when extra costs may arise.

01How are nursing and support costs calculated?

The standard hourly rates are €25.00 for everyday support, €30.00 for personal care and €40.00 for professional nursing. Monthly packages and Recovery have fixed package prices; additional hours, materials or service-specific surcharges are charged only under the published rule and individual agreement.

02What is included in a CARE monthly package?

CARE includes companionship and everyday support for the booked number of hours. The current packages are CARE 10: €239 / month · CARE 20: €459 / month · CARE 40: €859 / month. Personal care and professional nursing are not included and are arranged separately when needed.

03What is the difference between CARE and Diaspora Care?

CARE is a regular everyday-support package. Diaspora Care includes flexible hours for everyday support and personal care, plus personal coordination and agreed communication with family abroad. Current packages are DIASPORA CARE 10: €299 / month · DIASPORA CARE 20: €579 / month · DIASPORA CARE 40: €1,099 / month; professional nursing is charged separately at €40.00 per hour.

04When might there be extra costs for materials, travel or special visit times?

Medicines, medical consumables and external services may be charged separately. The published evening, night, Sunday/public-holiday, same-day and travel surcharges apply specifically to VITANIS Direkt and do not automatically apply to other services. Expected total costs are clarified before engagement or appointment confirmation.

04

For relatives abroad

Arrange care in Kosovo and stay connected through clear agreements.

01How can I arrange support for my parents in Kosovo?

Begin with your parents’ wishes and a no-obligation enquiry. VITANIS clarifies the location, needs, suitable number of hours and preferred communication, then records the agreements in writing before support starts.

02What information may I receive as a relative?

Updates from VITANIS are agreed with the person receiving care and require their consent. The content, contact method and circumstances for updates are recorded clearly; not all information is shared automatically.

03How can everyday support and personal care be combined in a Diaspora package, and how is nursing added?

The 10, 20 or 40 package hours can be divided flexibly between everyday support and personal care. Professional nursing is not part of those hours and, when needed, is arranged separately at €40.00 per hour.

04Who is my contact person, and will the same team members visit where possible?

Diaspora Care includes a dedicated VITANIS contact for planning, coordination and agreed updates. Visits are arranged with consistent team members wherever possible, but an unrestricted staffing guarantee is not promised.
